Remember that small shoulder bag that is stuffed at the back of your moms closet under everything else? Covered with dust and circled around with other old clothes? Well, it is time to pull that bad boy out! It’s time to get use out of it because vintage is back in! The old trends are coming back in style and I am all for it!
Fendi Zucci Bags made in 1997…Dior Saddle bags……mom jeans…. vintage Levi jeans…. does it sound vintage yet? What about trendy? These vintage items can all be found on resell apps such as Grailed and Heroine, and they are going for top dollar!
If you are not interested in wearing these “old” and used items, then sell them! Like stated, there is a huge market for reselling vintage items now and if they are just collecting dust in your moms closet, collect dollars in your wallet instead!
It is crazy to me to see how fast the market can turn! The other day I sold a vintage Guess bag that my mom bought me when I was 10 years old! She told me she bought it on CLEARANCE for $49.99 10 years ago! I just sold it for $65 on Kijiji! Not only did it depreciate in value for over 10 years, with a lot of tears and usage, I also made a profit after selling it! All because it had the vintage Guess logos, it was denim with pleather red detailing which is an extreme 90’s retro vibe!
Apart from cashing in on these old treasures… I also found a love in wearing vintage! Looking in my mom’s closet but also my grandmas, I found vintage dresses and old tweed prints that are not as common anymore! It is hard to say what is in fashion and what is not anymore, I feel like fashion is very subjective and in my personal opinion, vintage is the new latest!
